tag-tipidtips

Grabe kelangan magtipid ng todo-todo
Pag sahod andaming bills na kelangan mabayaran.
So here are some ways pano makatipid:

1. First invest in a good "baunan". June was the start of most classes. And malls started giving out discounted stuff. I went to the mall and found out that lock and lock was on sale!!!!!!!! I checked it out and it looks good! it was a bit pricey even on sale but it's a good deal w/ lifetime warranty. One thing I like about this product is its spill proof feature which is very important in bringing baon. My mom usually cooks veggies with sauce or soup and based on experience I don't bring that to work as my baon coz it will spill all over the stuff in my bag. when I was using the usual microwaveable containers.

2.  Having a good quality baunan will now lead us to bringing "baon"
It's a full meal plus i get the chance to choose the ingredients.
I love to cook and I can cook so why not take advantage of it.
I've tried cooking for my packed lunch for two or three weeks now and I can't believe that I was able to survive with P500 for 5 days. Imagine spending around 50-150 bucks on a fast food meal, where in that amount can buy you ingredients for a simple quick recipe pesto pasta, plus sisig with fried rice!

3. This will lead to my next point. You'll be forced to wake up early to cook for your meals. This means you won't be late for work. No deduction from your salary and a chance to get attendance bonus (thank God we have this perk in the office!)

4. Next....stay away from convenient stores if possible. You go there for emergency shopping. What I do is I go to big groceries and buy in bulk some are even on sale where you can buy 3 for the price of 2 or something to that effect. This would actually save you a few pesos instead of frequently buying in convenient stores. The supply that I'll get will be good enough for about 3 weeks to a month. Then I bring some food supply and stack it in my locker.

5. Stacking up food at home and in the office will now give me any reason to go back to the mall unless I need to buy something important. This will also give me a reason not to watch movies. Sad but since I'm saving up I need to cut movies unless needed.

6. Stay away from taxi cabs unless you'll be late and the only option is to use a high speed taxi that knows all the shortcuts in the planet. Flat rate of P40.00 is quite expensive. And if I need to ride a cab, I'll do i this way. ride the common public vehicles like bus or jeep or even MRT then if its around 100 meters you ride the cab. This will make you look so sosyal but half the price.

7. If you have a credit card, refrain from using it unless for emergency situations. Here in our country cash payment would still be the best option.
Use cash first. And unless of course you're so rich that you can afford to pay your monthly dues.

8. Check your bills. Check the billing dates, due dates and of course the amount that you need to pay. This would give you enough time to manage your salary as to which one needs to be paid first.

9. If your so hungry and you ran out of baon and its so jahe to make kain your baon on the streets of manila. Try checking out small food stalls that sells siomai, tukneneng, hongkong style noodles, mini empanada and the like. You can get something to eat for less than fifty bucks. Just make sure the place is clean and you wouldn't want to end up in a hospital nearby. That's an expense.

10. Tip # 10. If its your day off, stay at home. Bond with your family. Cook for them. Chitchat with the neighbors. Clean your room. Read old piles up books. Write a blog (like what I'm doing, with some blog sites you can even earn money)

Hope this helps. Lets not blame everything to the government with the economic crisis and all that crap. This is our income. This is the only amount that we earn for now what can we do about it to survive.
