SMX Convention Center Book Fair
Last Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 around 10 in the morning while checking out my twitter account I saw Budjette's tweet about the book signing this afternoon @ 2pm.
I had to choose sleep for 6 hrs more or my Trese, Pugad Baboy and Skyworld books be signed and meet the author and artists in the flesh!....the next thing I know, I was rushing to the bathroom and hurrying up to to be ready for the event. Budjette Tan, Kajo Baldisimo, Mervin Ignacio and Ian Sta. Maria's book signing was scheduled at 2pm while Jinri Park and Pol Medina was scheduled @ 3pm. My work shift is at 10pm...... I got all the time baby!!!! I got all the books that needed to be signed and of course the digicam a must in my bag! My bag was freakin heavy with books as if I was going to school. haha!
I had to choose which was better to ride a bus or take the MRT.....I took the bus instead it's only one ride from Fairviewto MOA and this will be more convenient for me I can sleep the whole travel time and get away from the MRT crowd. So there I was travelling in Cubao when the dark skies made a heave pour. I was all set the books were all wrapped in a plastic bag...and in a reusable bag! such an OC hahaha=)
I arrived in SM Mall of Asia at around 1:45pm....still had all the time to look for the convention center. Rain was about to pour again so I hurried to get in. Hall 4 baby! This is it pancit!....I asked myself, "pero teka, bat may mga models and kids on cosplay?", oh well sugod pa rin to look for the venue. Entrance fee was P20 for adults and P10 for seniors.....I paid P10....kidding! =) The concierge gave me a white ticket which I gave to the entrance guard. National Bookstore booth was in my face! hahaha just need to look for the book signing booth! And there it was the kind organizers told me that this was the area for the book signing but the queue will start @ 2pm. The current queue was for free souvenir comic books. A syempre papakabog pa ba ako!!! basta may libre...sugod! hahaha!!! excitement was in! maya maya pa....2pm na!!!!!!
Fans of Skyworld and Trese Comics started queueing for their books to be signed and of course...kodakan!
One downside though, I had to fall in line book but it's fine I got all the time I need =) This would be fair also for everyone to have their chance to have a short chitchat with the author and the artist and of course...kodakan...and speaking of kodakan.... here's my pic with my idols!

My paparattzi attempts to take a picture of RX93.1 DJ and model Jirni Park...nagside comment pa si manong stranger, "parang tumaba si Jinri,parang naging chubby!" .....gusto ko sabihin sana "di no! alam mo ba meaning ng chubby? AKO UN! sya hindi! close kayo? nasubaybayan mo ba sya mula pagkabata?" ...pero sa isip ko lang naman yan =)
Darn Di ako nakapagpapicture kay Pol Medina...had to buy Pugad Baboy book daw e kumpleto ko na books nya aanhin ko extra copy....and the queue for Pol Medinas book signing was long....plus kapos na budget have to go to the dentist the following day....I was so hungry na rin....pero up to this time I still have regrets of not buying an extra copy....e di sana may picture and autograph din ako from Pol Medina...di bale I'll have my chance soon. Hope to be in Komikon this October 27, 2012 daw. Looking forward for this and mag-iipon na ko pera baka sakali makapagshopping ng interesting local comic books
