Lumpiang Shanghai!!!!

The only 2 words I learned when I was in Shanghai were "xie xie" and "ni hao". We travelled to Shanghai last August 12, til August 27, 2011after 21 years we were able to travel abroad. Last time we went abroad was I think 1989 or 1990, when I was a little kid we went to Hong Kong. 

I had work during the day and as soon as I finished all my office tasks, I left the office got a cab to going to NAIA Terminal 3. Excitement was flowing though my veins. This is it pancit!!! Lipad kung lipad! hehehe

Dato Family riding the train. Shanghai train system is very interesting. Interconnected stations were set-up underneath the earth. Subway stations were everywhere.

The best fish market ever!!!!!!!!!!!  you'll see all these creatures in aquariums and you can buy it fresh and alive

Shopping ba kamo?....Yu Yuan is the place to be for pasalubong shopping. This is the Divisoria of Shanghai. You can get the cheapest deals here. You can find small items as low as 3-5 RMB. Its just a train ride away or you can take the bus. The pictures below are from Yu Yuan.

I was about to buy one of these sobrang ganda kasi ng pagkakagawa....kaso maalikabukan lang sa bahay hehehe

 I love the their idea of flat escalators in this mall in Shanghai. The wheels of your shopping cart is configured to match the tiny grooves on the flat escalator immobilizing your cart from rolling everywhere while you descend or ascend

 I should have gotten one of these pigs hehehe

Puerto Galera 2012

Puerto Galera.....we meet again!!!!

                                    

Family outing last March 11-13, 2012 was a quick plan vacation =), lucky for me it was my rest day and vacation leave so last minute plans were made and off we go to MINDORO ORIENTAL!!!!!!! last time i visited this place was way back 2009 with few of my office friends. Now I decided to give my parents a treat to relax and bask under the sunshine of Puerto Galera.

lucky for me we were able to ride Jam Transit....with wifi baby!!!! beat that!!!! =)

               Hay Sabang, Puerto Galera......the beach where I saw a lot of foreigners....funny....a man approached me offering boat ride fares and thought I was a foreigner...ahaha =)....Nag-English si kuya: "boat ride sir? where do you want to go?" ....Hala nosebleed ako di ko nahanda ang mga nakatago kong English. Sabi ko na lang kay kuya, "next time kuya pauwi na kami maya maya".

        
             Forgot to get the name of this bar but this place is cozy and overlooking the shore.

Nice cozy place. 2 bedroom, 1 room has airconditioner, the other with fan, 1 toilet and bath, kitchen, TV with cable channels, near the shore, veranda, kitchen utensils (pots and pans, plates, coffee cups, spoon and fork, plates, etc), stove, fridge, water supply, what more can u ask for! =)
