Anawangin-Capones Island Trip

At long last another grand Bakasyon away from Manila - trip to Anawangin and Capones Island

This would be my second time to camp out and experience nature at its finest.

First thing to do pack your bags with necessities:
few clothes
cooking utensils
small casserole
matches
flashlight
camping tent
camera (bring your tripod if you have one it helps)
sunblock
easy to cook meals (unless you're into cooking bulalo in a such a remote location)
mosquito net/repelant if you're sensitive to mosquitoes, but during my stay not a single bite  even if I had my tent was beside the river
toiletries
gallons of water (depending on how long you'll stay and how your body craves for water)
drinks to chill (if your into drinking)
snacks (buy it from manila if you want to save up)

From Manila, I had to take a bus ride from Victory Liner Caloocan going to Iba, Zambales. I took the last trip at 11pm so that I'll get to San Antonio before dawn. Based on my research I got advise from fellow bloggers and travellers, water was calm during the early morning, sometimes the sea water becomes rough. Drop off is at San Antonio, Zambales. Bought few things I need from the market and 7-11. Got tips also on how to get to Anawangin and things to expect. Next had a tricycle ride from San Antonio to San Miguel (or you can go to Pundaquit). Get a boat going to Anawangin or if you prefer to go to other Island trip to Capones and Nagsasa. Now off we go....

mango juice fountain?

Capones Island:

First drop-off point is the Capones Island, where you'll see the Capones Light House.

Sad but found these as well in Capones Island. Ukay ukay for cinderella's sandals and other trash from visitors:

Anawangin Cove:

Anawangin at night:

no bars...
no club music...
no heavy traffic...
no loud videoke from neighbors...
no electricity...
no cellphone signal...
no internet...
there's a lot of stars!!!!
and the greatest thing is ...NO FREAKIN POLLUTION! fresh air at night!

I'll definitely go back here.
to relax
to unwind
to get away from all the worries and stress of Manila
to enjoy nature
to get away from technology and modern living....
next visit I'll include nagsasa and other islands.
