2013 18th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

The 18th Philippine Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

Omni Aviation Complex
Clark Pampanga
Day 4

02242013 Sunday (4th day of the event) at long last I was able to wake up as early as 02:30 AM, enough time to fix myself and travel to Clark, Pampanga. I don't have my own car so I had to commute my way for this travel. I was able to leave home in QC by 3:30 am, drop off Munoz, was able to catch Victory Liner going to Baguio (had to confirm if they'll have a stop over on Dau Terminal).

had to travel for about 2 hours, I think. Got a tricycle from Dau Terminal to SM terminal. Then had to ride a jeep/shuttle going to Omni Aviation Complex. However, the shuttle had to drop us off, I think because of the traffice and doesn't come near the site so everyone has to walk to Omni Aviation.

I didn't expect this much crowd at around 6:30 in the morning...just to see the flying balloons unbelievable =)

Good thing I got my tickets from ticketnet at least I didn't have to queue with this crowd.

Then the balloons started to fly!!!

unfortunatelly this pink elephant wasn't able to fly last sunday =( oh well still looks good on the ground =)

You can try out riding the balloon with these 2 balloons:

There were food booths like Jollibee, Mcdonalds, Burger King, Army Navy, Yellow Cab, Zagoo,     and others I can't remember. There were also booths where you can buy different items and souvenirs.

Visitors also enjoyed kite flying. Move over Ipod and PSP...it's the kite's turn to fly.

Meynard Halili Acrobatic show

Philippine Coast Guard Plane

Here's the Breitling Jet Team Acrobatic Exhibition, got a few shots from their show.....I think I would need telephoto lenses to have better shots sorry for the tiny photos =)

Inverted jet....cool!!!

I left at I think around 11:00 am and with me are these flock of people

How cool is that? A traffic enforcer on a horse!!

And to my surprise an added bonus.....a DINO in Pampanga!!!! The dino became an instant celebrity. The Paparazzi took pictures while the dino gave its best poses and fierce look just like a pro!!!

A lot of folks came to the event with their cars so the long stretch of parking lot was packed with vehicles. I think commuting to the event was far better....had an exercise at least =)

I wasn't able to stay for long coz the heat was so uncomfortable I didn't have any tent or umbrella  and the next event that i was looking forward to see will be shown at around 5:30pm which was the night Glow. I decided to leave thinking that it will be easier for me to get back to Dau terminal than stay there tll the moon shines...there's always next year....and I'll be prepared....I'll brink a tent with me when I get back to this event. probably camp overnight if that will be possible. Til next year balloon!!!! hope there's more balloon on the upcoming events like......300 balloons??? =)

Oh wait as a souvenir got myself this ref magnet =) like what my friend Kat does, I'll cover our fridge with these from where ever I go. more spaces so more places and events to go!!!
